Graduation

Honors
Students with a cumulative points average of 3.6 or above at graduation are granted a BA/BSc with high honors. Students with a cumulative points average between 3.4 and 3.6 at graduation are granted a BA/BSc with 2nd class honors.
General Information
A student has to pay his/her tuition fees before the beginning of the semester. Scholarships are valid for the first year only and any later discount will be determined upon the student’s academic performance which is directly reflected on his/her cumulative GPA. Students must check regularly their Student Portal.

The Faculty assigns an academic advisor from the staff members for each group of students. The advisor will be fully responsible for the group’s academic affairs and for the selection of their courses. The students should be in contact with their advisors within the registration period of every academic semester in order to help them register for their courses.
The average academic load for a regular student in an academic semester ranges from 4-6 courses or 12-17 hours per week in addition to an intensive English course. The summer semester average academic load ranges from 1-2 courses.
Students who fail to maintain a GPA of 2.00 will be placed on academic probation and will be restricted to a load of 12 to 14 credit hours or 4 courses per semester. Students on probation who are enrolled in the faculties of Pharmacy or Engineering can register for a maximum of 14 credit hours.
The probationary period provides students with an opportunity to fix their GPA. This period may last for no more than three regular semesters. If students fail to achieve the required grade average by the end of the probationary period, they will be expelled.
Students must check their e-mail regularly to be well aware of all steps related to schedules & advising.
