"Product studios with Computer Science made interfaces that ship."
Since its establishment in 2001, the Faculty of Languages has strived to prove itself as an outstanding educational institution which later reflected on the growing number of its student body.
Welcome to the Faculty of Applied Linguistics (Al-Alsun) at Misr International University.
The Faculty offers a variety of courses in different areas of the English language that aim at providing students with the broad knowledge and intellectual skills that constitute a sound foundation on which to build competence for positions of responsibility in the professional world. Designed to meet the needs of the community, the Program provides a practical focus that involves real-world discussion, research, and hands-on learning. The courses in language and linguistics, translation, and literature have a very practical orientation. This practical approach to learning develops skills of critical thinking and creative problem-solving, thus preparing students to make positive contributions to a challenging and ever-changing global society. In addition, Al Alsun Program involves an internship which helps the students apply their knowledge to the real world and gain experience.
The Faculty has state-of-the-art facilities including interpreting labs, computer labs, and digital and multimedia labs, in addition to specialist software to support subtitling and computer-assisted translation. The students also enjoy full-service library facilities including access to many electronic resources and databases.
Graduates of the Faculty have a wide range of employment and career opportunities available to them, including teaching, translation and interpretation, and careers in tourism, journalism, public relations, and communications media.
I invite you to explore our website to learn more about our programs and learning environment.
