This specialty is directed to create and enhance different data transmission technologies featuring high speed, better connectivity, and more widespread access.

As such, this minor is designed to cover key areas of wireless, wired communication fields including wireless 5G mobile technology, optical communication systems, satellite communication & cryptography.
Data network is a system of technologies and protocols designed to transmit data between devices. Data networking technology is involved in every area of modern industries. The growing market of network services creates a great demand for highly skilled network engineers.
This minor is designed to develop a deep understanding, knowledge and practical skill in data network design, network security and network management, to prepare a graduate well aware of new technologies and network trends.
Artificial intelligence (AI) refers to systems or machines programmed by humans to be smarter, like winning in a game of chess or detecting certain objects in a video. Internet of Things (IoT) refers to hardware devices that make use of AI and embedded systems along with cloud computing to make smart decisions and actions, to make life easier.
Together AI and IoT are the foundation of the Smart Systems Minor in which graduates learn to design and test intelligent hardware systems that can be integrated in smart phones, healthcare devices, home appliances, driver-less cars, drones, and robots, to name a few.
